On Memorial Day, 2000 (May 29) I was traveling back to Mass. after spending the weekend at my Mom’s<\/a> (the usual Memorial Day scene — burnt ground up dead cow, etc.) and I took some pictures at the Springfield, MA station after the arival (and departure) of the Late For Sure, er. Lake Shore Limited. Here are the pictures.<\/p>\n

In the center distance (just to the right of the center platform shelter) is a switcher waiting for CSX dispatcher to throw the switch and give the OK to head east onto the mainline.<\/p>\n
