The current version of the software package is 2.1.16,
dated April 24, 2008.
- Two new programs:
Dispatcher, a Dispatcher Control Panel Builder. It can also
load XTrkCAD layout files and draw a graph network of the
layout, which should be useful (?) in creating dispatcher
control panels. This is an alpha release. No Documentation
yet.
Screen shots available:
, .
ModelRRSystem, an experimental launcher with simple window
manager features. This is an alpha and experimental release.
No Documentation yet.
- Minor parser fixes to handle minor changes in XTrkCAD layout files.
- Fixed a pile of problems with the build process. The system now will
build in a subdirectory. This it is possible to build for multiple
targets from a single source tree. Yeah!

This is a program for calculating the numbers XTrkCad's
Curved Turnout Designer wants for a curved turnout. Its
inputs are the number's provided in the Walthers catalog
pages for the code 83 Walthers/Shinahora Curved Turnout.
Needs Tcl/Tk, see below for links to get Tcl/Tk.

Other than a working C++ compiler -- it compiles with
gcc/g++ 3.4.6 under CentOS 4.5 (RHEL 4 clone) and should
compile with any modern C++ compiler (but let me know if
you have problems!), this package also uses some not so
common software packages.
|
|
The system uses Tcl/Tk for all of the GUI code. Tcl/Tk
is available for most modern operating systems, including
all flavors of UNIX and Linux, MS-Windows, and MacOSX.

The system has several parsers and uses Bison++ to
create C++ classes from the parse specification file.

The system uses Doc++ to generate internal documentation
of the C++ class libraries.

The system uses LaTeX for its documentation preparation.
This includes the Time Table package, which uses LaTeX
for format time tables for printout.

The system now uses TclKits and SDX to create standalone
executables for all of the Tcl/Tk based applications.
